The Directory of Social Change

Directory of Social Change (DSC) is an independent charity with a vision of an independent voluntary sector at the heart of social change.

They believe that society can be changed for the better when citizens take responsibility for themselves, their communities and each other. The activities of independent charities, voluntary organisations and community groups are fundamental to achieve social change.


 

 

 

NCVO

NCVO champions and strengthens the voluntary sector, with over 10,000 members, from the largest charities to the smallest community organisations. They make sure the voluntary sector can do what it does best.


 

 

 

Mental Health First Aid England

Developed in Australia in 2000 and now internationally recognised in twenty one countries, the MHFA course teaches delegates over two days how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, provide help on a first aid basis and effectively signpost towards support services. To date, there are over 650 instructors in England who have delivered the MHFA course to over 55,000 people.

The Institute of Fundraising is the professional membership body for UK fundraising. Our mission is to support fundraisers, through leadership, representation, standards-setting and education, and we champion and promote fundraising as a career choice.

 

Charity Comms

Charity Comms are the professional membership body for charity communicators, led by the sector for the sector. They aim to improve the standard of communications and champion its role in the sector. They seek to represent, support, inspire, connect and inform our members and the wider charity communications community.


 

 

NAVCA

NAVCA believes voluntary and community action offers solutions to the challenges we face. Action rooted in communities brings local people together to campaign, volunteer and provide services. Uniquely, NAVCA is a national membership organisation with a grassroots view.


 

 

 

New Directions

New Directions Training was established in 2009 as a provider of quality training to individuals and businesses throughout the UK. As part of the New Directions group of companies, the team offers a portfolio of certificated and non-certificated courses to aid individuals and businesses with their continuous professional development.
